Life Update for Maureen B. Flaherty Part 2

Sweet things about my job:
Two days ago I lifeguarded for Harry Potter while he got thrown in the lake for his birthday
I get super tan
I get to hang out with the best people ever
I always come back feeling like my life is a little bit diffferent and usually in a good way
I have a boss who understands that sometimes you need to leave suddenly

Bad things about my job:
Its so stressful that I had to come back yesterday
and I'm not there right now
and it makes you sort of fall in love with people who live in different countries which sucks...a lot.

I just got free air force ones.
And a 350 dollar pay check
And I'm really good at it
I get paid to eat, sleep and play capture the flag and have dance parties
Bad things about my job:
It's really god damn stressful
I smell like bugspray/campfires/lake/ass in general all the time
It makes me really fucking lonely

I've figured out I'm ok during the day but I'm dead at night.
I have about 20 minutes before I'm out again, and then maybe 40 minutes after that to just relax.
Then dinner.
Then meeting.
Then crashing and death.

Pledging is the weirdest thing ever seriously.
And I can't decide if I'd rather have a black president or a woman president.
Either way, I hope 2008 really shakes things up in America history.

Fun story.
We go out tonight. We're chilling in Bissman. A few of us go back to Peter's to hang out. Tina is seriously fucked up.
I'm sitting on Peters desk and totally randomly she goes, "So are you ok about what happened?"
And I know what she's talking about.
Exactly what she's talking about.
I say "How do you know about that? Who told you?"
And she says "Honey. Everybody knows."

Kay heard me crying last night and asked what happened.
This is a lot harder than I thought.
At least now in almost every single class I can think about other things.
I want to tell my histor professor but I don't want him to be all
"Who is this random freshman who I've known for a week? Why is she telling me all this personal information?"

I'm not ready to be over this.
But more than anything I worry that I won't.

They'll mean well. But I won't be able to.

I'm doing everything "right".
So why don't I feel better?
I don't want to talk to Ray. Or Nany. Or my mom. I don't want hugs.
I want to stay in my bed and never move.

I think I have a problem.
it's confusing the shit out of me.
I can't be that attractive for these boys to be interested in me. And I'm not that easy.
NSD has pretty much been a success.
But that was due to....other factors.

This is ridiculous

part of me wants to get over this.
But more of me feels right in feeling this.
Dead inside.
I geuss surviving is really just getting over.
So I'd like them to stop calling me one.
I want to cry but I can't get it come out. I wish my mom wouldn't hate me too.
I wish I could think I was pretty. And that I had more friends so I wouldn't be really upset when my sister doesn't have time to hang out with me.
It's these times when I'm alone. Right before I sleep it's the worst.

I woke up this morning and I couldn't breathe. My asthma came over.
for the first time

years.
When your life compares more to an episode of svu you know something's fucked up.
But at the same time you don't feel like it should be that big of a deal.
